How to Un-assign a Plan

How to un-assign a member from a plan in QuotaPath

First, understand that unassigning a user from a plan will erase ALL approval, earnings and unscheduled payout data. Your past payouts will show as clawbacks. If you still wish to unassign, proceed with the steps below.

To un-assign a member from an existing Plan in QuotaPath, first, navigate to the Plans page by clicking 'Plans' on the left-hand navigation bar.

Click the Plan name to open the plan details. Scroll down to the Assignees section, below the Plan Structure.

Find the assignee. Then, click the three-dot menu to the right of the assignee's name. Select 'Unassign Plan' and then confirm by clicking 'Delete Assignment' in the subsequent pop-up modal.

Please note it is not recommended to un-assign a member from a Plan if they have left the company and you are looking to maintain any historical record. Deleting a user from a plan will delete all historical data tied to that user on that plan, including approvals, earnings, and payouts. Paid amounts for that user on that plan will appear as clawbacks. Instead, view this article on how to edit their plan assignment dates to simply set their end date on that plan.

If you cannot un-assign a member from a Plan, it may be because there are deals associated with this member and Plan that have been manually added into QuotaPath. In this case, you will need to either delete or re-assign these deals first. You can visit the Deals collection to learn how to edit or delete a deal.
