The Source Record page gives Admins a complete view of the data QuotaPath imported for a specific source record. Use it to inspect mapped and unmapped fields, review calculated fields, analyze component mappings, and identify which QuotaPath deals were generated from the record.
When to use this page
Use the Source Record page when you want to:
Troubleshoot a missing QuotaPath deal
Validate what data came in from your integration source for a specific record
Inspect mapped vs unmapped fields quickly
Identify why a record qualified for one component but not another
Discover available fields for mapping on your records
How to access
This page is only visible to Admins
Clicking on any Record ID link in QuotaPath will take you to this page
You will find linked Record IDs in most QuotaPath tables on the Deals, Earnings, Attainment, Approvals, and Payouts pages and on the Deal Details page.
Top-level record summary
At the top of the page, you’ll see key identifying information for the record. Use this section to confirm you are looking at the correct source record:
Source record name used to identify the record and its related QuotaPath deal(s)
ID of the record
Source link (click to open in your CRM)
Object
Last updated timestamp that refers to when data was last changed for this record from your source
Analyze mapping
Select Analyze Mapping in the upper-right corner to test the source record against your existing component mappings. This should be your first step when investigating missing deals or missing earnings. If a record has not generated the expected QuotaPath deal or seems to be missing from a particular component, use Analyze Mapping.
Analyze Mapping can give you a direct answer as to why a particular record doesn’t have any associated QuotaPath deals, or why you might not be seeing a particular deal associated with an expected component.
Once the Analyze Mapping module opens, select a component that you are looking to test this source record against to see why it is or is not creating a QuotaPath deal.
To quickly find the right component, search by plan, component, or mapping
or use the All Plans dropdown to choose a specific plan's components to view.
Once you select a component, the Mapping Analyzer will display whether or not this record met the criteria set in the mapping used by this component in order for a QuotaPath deal to be created.
Criteria satisfied will be highlighted in green, and criteria not met will be highlighted in red. Criteria in red are the reason(s) your mapping did not succeed.
In the example above, a QuotaPath deal was not created because it didn’t satisfy the requirement of the Contract Term being greater than or equal to 24.
The red bar across the top highlights the specific Mapping Setting that was not satisfied.
You can also expand the top section by clicking “View More” to reveal additional field data.
Source record tab
The Source Record tab contains two views: Record Summary and Calculated Fields. You can also select View All Source Records to open the complete Source Data Viewer for the related object.
Record summary table
Shows all available source fields for that record.
Mapped fields appear first and are highlighted in green. The Components column shows how many components currently use each field.
Search on the right to locate a specific field by name quickly
View All Source Records links back to the full Source Data Viewer
Use this table to quickly inspect field values and identify what is or isn’t present in the source data for the record. This can also be used to find available fields that can be mapped to when mapping new components.
Calculated fields table
Next to the Record Summary tab is the Calculated Fields tab, which displays any calculated field associated with the source object, including:
Workspace Admin-created fields
Custom fields generated by our QuotaPath team
A few things to note:
This table is view-only. To modify a calculated field, open the calculated field builder.
Fields created before this update may list Workspace Admin as the creator. Newer fields display the Admin’s username, while fields created by QuotaPath display QP Solutions.
Formulas are not displayed for QuotaPath-generated fields.
Deals tab
The Deals tab shows every QuotaPath deal generated from the source record. A single source record may create multiple QuotaPath deals when it qualifies for multiple components or assignees. If no deals appear, use Analyze Mapping to identify which criteria prevented the creation of deals. If no deals appear, use Analyze Mapping to identify which mapping criteria prevented a deal from being created.
Note: The Source Record page reflects the data most recently imported into QuotaPath. If a value was recently changed in your source system, run a Sync & Refresh before reviewing the record again.
Troubleshoot a Source Record
Use this workflow when a source record is not generating the expected QuotaPath deal or is appearing under the wrong component:
Confirm that you are viewing the correct source record and Record ID.
Review the Record Summary to verify the imported field values.
Check any relevant calculated fields and their current results.
Select Analyze Mapping and review the record against the expected component mapping.
Check the Deals tab to see which QuotaPath deals were generated from the source record.
Correct the source data, calculated field, or mapping criteria as needed.
Run a Sync & Refresh, then return to the Source Record page to confirm the results.
