Use chat to ask questions, upload data, and interact with Atlas.

Chat is the core way you interact with Atlas. Every conversation is automatically saved.

Start a conversation

  1. Click New Chat or press:

    • Cmd + Shift + O (Mac)

    • Ctrl + Shift + O (Windows)

  2. Type your question or choose a prompt

Upload files

  1. Click the paperclip icon

  2. Upload supported files (PDF, CSV, XLSX, JSON, TXT, Markdown)

  3. Files appear below the input field

⚠️ File size limit: 1 MB

Chat history

Click History in the header to:

  • View past conversations

  • Resume chats

  • Delete conversations

Context window

A usage indicator shows how much of the conversation context is used:

  • Green – under 75%

  • Yellow – 75–90%

  • Red – over 90%

Start a new chat if you hit the limit.

Usage limits

  • Free

    Light usage designed for getting started.
    The free plan gives you 5 messages a day to explore Atlas, try guided workflows, and create shareable briefs.

  • Pro

    High usage limits designed for continuous team use.
    Pro plans are built to support day-to-day workflows with generous capacity and real-time usage tracking. If needed, you can increase capacity instantly without disrupting your work.

Customize responses

Go to Settings > Atlas to:

  • Choose response style

  • Add custom instructions
