Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your QuotaPath account. In QuotaPath, this setting is called 2-Step Verification. When you sign in on a new or untrusted device, you’ll verify your identity using a security code sent to your mobile phone by text message.
Before you begin
You’ll need:
A mobile phone that can receive text messages.
A password set up for your QuotaPath account.
If you sign in through a service such as Google or Microsoft and haven’t created a QuotaPath password, you’ll need to add one before you can change the 2-Step Verification setting. QuotaPath displays a message explaining this requirement on the Account settings page.
Turn on 2-Step Verification
Open Settings in QuotaPath.
Select the Account tab.
Find 2-Step Verification and turn on the switch.
In the Let’s set up your phone window, enter your mobile phone number and your current QuotaPath password.
Click Continue to receive a verification code by text message.
Enter the code and complete the on-screen confirmation to finish setting up 2-Step Verification.
Each user enables this setting for their own account. Workspace admins can view members’ multi-factor authentication status on the Members page.
Sign in with 2-Step Verification
Once the setting is enabled:
Sign in to your QuotaPath workspace.
If you’re using a new or untrusted device, QuotaPath will display the Verify account screen and send a code to your saved phone number.
Enter the text-message code to finish signing in.
If you see Remember this device, you can select it to skip the two-factor verification prompt on that device for 90 days. Only use this option on a private device you trust—not a shared or public computer.
Change your phone number
Return to Settings → Account and update your phone number through the 2-Step Verification settings. You’ll need your current QuotaPath password and, when two-factor authentication is already enabled, a verification code sent to your current phone before changing the number.
Changing phones or losing access to your number? If you can no longer receive verification codes, reach out to our live support chat in the workspace for help restoring access. Never share your password or verification codes with anyone.
