View and Analyze Attainment

Learn how to track quota progress, analyze attainment trends, forecast performance, and review contributing deals.

The Attainment page shows progress toward assigned quotas and goals. Admins can review attainment for any workspace member, while members can review their own performance.

Attainment is based on the value of qualifying Closed/Won deals. This page does not display earnings, approvals, or payout information.

Getting started on Attainment

The Attainment page allows Admins to review attainment for each member in their workspace, while members can view their own individual attainment. This page focuses on progress toward quota based on qualifying Closed/Won values and does not display earnings.

Admins can review another member’s attainment from the Individual tab. Select View as, then choose the member whose performance you want to review.

To narrow the results, select Page Filters, then use the Dates filter to filter by deal date. The selected date range determines which deals are included in the component cards, Attainment graph, and Deals table.

What are component cards?

  • Component cards allow you to view attainment against quota in a more streamlined way.

    • On the Attainment page, each card displays the Closed/Won attainment value associated with a plan, quota, or component.

  • The attainment shown reflects the date range you have selected, while the quota reflects the full quota period—or periods—covered by that date range.

  • Expand or collapse quotas and components to switch between a summarized rollup and a more detailed view of the attainment contributing to each quota.

Understand your attainment against your selected date range and full quota period

Attainment reflects the deals included in your selected date range, while the quota shown represents the full quota period—or periods—covered by that selection.

Examples

  • If you filter to February and have a quarterly quota, the page displays the sum of your qualifying February deals as attainment against your full Q1 quota.

  • If you filter from March through April and have a quarterly quota, the page displays the sum of your qualifying March and April deals as attainment against the combined Q1 and Q2 quotas.

The Attainment graph reflects these filtered results. It displays your quota as a line against your attainment progress, and you can hover over the graph to view additional details. The graph follows the filters applied through Page Filters and can be further refined by plan, component, and time period, such as monthly or quarterly.

In the graph filters, Shared Quotas combine the attainment from multiple components that contribute to the same quota. For example, a Net Retention quota may include separate components for renewals, churn, and upsells. Although these deal types are configured as individual components, selecting the shared quota allows you to review their combined attainment.

Forecasting attainment

Hover over a bar in the graph to view your attainment for that period and compare it with the applicable quota. When you turn on Forecast Pipeline, the blue pace line shows the amount you need to close to remain on track toward your quota.

Forecasted pipeline appears as a lighter, more transparent section stacked above the Closed/Won attainment bar. Each component retains its assigned color, making it easier to distinguish actual and forecasted attainment across the graph.

This view gives members and Admins a clear way to compare current performance, projected attainment, and the pace required to reach a quota or goal.

Deals table

The Deals table lists the individual records contributing to attainment for the selected date range. Use it to review each deal’s date, name, attainment value, associated component, and source.

Deals are organized by their QuotaPath stage: Closed/Won, Pipeline, or Closed/Lost. You can adjust the table columns and filters to focus on specific records and confirm which deals are contributing to actual or forecasted attainment.

Summary

The Attainment page helps members and Admins understand progress toward quota across plans, components, and time periods. Use component cards for a summarized view, the graph to compare actual and forecasted attainment against quota, and the Deals table to verify the individual records contributing to those totals.
