Multi-Currency

How to set up your plans and currency conversion rates in QuotaPath to enable earnings and payouts in multiple currencies Keywords: multicurrency, multiple currencies

Multi-Currency in QuotaPath lets admins configure multiple currencies in their workspace, allowing reps to view their earnings and payouts in their local currencies.

Admins can easily update currency values within minutes, however frequently, and avoid any need for manual conversions.

Who can use Multi-currency

Multi-currency is available on Growth and Premium tiers. Growth and Premium admins can open Currency Manager from Preferences and set exchange rates. On workspaces that do not include Multi-Currency, Preferences still shows the currency section, however choosing Manage Currencies opens an upgrade prompt instead of Currency Manager. If someone without the capability opens Currency Manager directly, QuotaPath sends them back to Preferences.

Workspace Currency = Data Source currency

QuotaPath's multi-currency conversion depends on your workspace currency and your data source currency matching.

  • Your data source (CRM, spreadsheet, etc.) should use the same currency as your deal amounts — this is the currency QuotaPath will pull in.

  • Your QuotaPath workspace currency (set in Settings>Preferences) should match that same currency.

In short: whatever corporate or primary currency your CRM/data source uses, set your QuotaPath workspace currency to match it. The two systems need to agree on one main currency for conversion to work correctly.

Plan and Component Setup

When using multi-currency and conversion rates in QuotaPath, all of your currency amounts built into your plans and components (i.e., quotas, bonus amounts, amounts per attainment point, etc.) need to be in your workspace currency and match the currency of your mapped deal amounts. This might involve converting your quotas or bonus amounts from your reps' local currencies to your company/workspace currency when setting up your plans.

Members and team managers who are paid in their local currency, which differs from the workspace currency, will see the workspace currency quotas and bonus amounts (instead of their local currency amounts). Conversion rates do not apply to the values in plan and component setup.

Any currency field that you use when mapping your plan components must be in your workspace currency.

Earnings conversion

All deal amounts are ingested as workspace currency (i.e., company currency). Earnings will first be calculated using the workspace currency. Once earnings are calculated, they are converted using the conversion rates set up in your QuotaPath settings (Settings>Preferences>Manage currencies). If a member has been assigned a currency other than the workspace currency, they will see their earnings displayed to them in their local currency.

It's very important to understand that all earnings calculations are done in company currency, and then the applicable conversion rate is applied to the resulting earnings amount.

Admins on reporting views (Deals, Earnings, Ledger, Payouts, and Approvals) can switch the displayed currency with the currency selection dropdown (see screenshot below). Members see Home, deal details, Earnings, goals, Payouts, and Approvals in their profile currency when Multi-Currency is available.

How To Manage Your Currencies

If you're an admin looking to configure this new feature, you’ll need to navigate to Settings within the QuotaPath Dashboard. From there you’ll go to Preferences where you’ll see the new Manage Currencies button.

Clicking Manage Currencies takes you to the Currency Manager, where admins can easily manage and update currencies moving forward.

If you click +New Exchange Rate in the top right-hand corner, you’ll be given the option to add a new currency, set the exchange rate, and set the date range for the exchange rate.

After you select your currencies, enter the exchange rate, and select the date range you’ll click Save to set your new exchange rate.

Assigning Member currency

After saving, you’ll navigate to the Members tab to set your user's local currency in the dropdown under Currency, next to the user's name. Once the profile currency has been set, it will carry over to any new exchange rates.

Users will now automatically see their Earnings and Payouts data displayed in their local currency.

A few things to note:

  • If no rate is set for a given time period, the previous exchange rate that was used for the preceding time period will be used.

    • For example, if the Euro was set to 1.5 in July but did not have a rate for August, it will set the Euros for August to 1.5 as well, since that was the most recent exchange rate.

  • If an exchange rate time period overlaps with another time period, you will receive a warning that the most recent set exchange rate will be used for the overlapping time period

    • For example, let’s say an exchange rate for Euros is set to 1.5 for all of 2026. If an admin goes in and adds another exchange rate for Euros of 1.4 for Q4 2026, it will use the last used exchange rate. In this case, you'll receive a warning that it will use the most recent exchange rate set for the overlapping period. Which, in this case, is an exchange rate of 1.4 for Euros.
