Learn how Admins can export Payouts for payment

How to Export Payouts

This article walks through how to export your payout data once you have approved deals and scheduled payouts.

Admins can export payout records, both scheduled and unscheduled, for all users. scheduled payout records are found on the export tab for admins, and unscheduled payout records are found on the payout tab on the payouts page for admins.

Team managers and members will be able to export only their own scheduled payout records, on their Resolved tab on the Payouts page. Team Managers and Members cannot export unscheduled Payout records. The closest solution for Members and Team Managers would be exporting deal records from the deals page.

Getting to the export

Head to the Payouts page. The Payouts page is separated into two tabs:

  1. The Payouts tab shows any deals that have been approved but not yet scheduled to be paid out.

  2. The Exports tab shows any deals that have been scheduled to be paid out, either in the future or in the past.

Setting your filters

At the top of the Exports tab, you have the standard QuotaPath filters available throughout the product. You can filter on owners, deal dates, payout dates, payout eligibility dates, specific plans, and components.

When exporting payout data, set the deal date filter to All. Even if you are paying out the previous quarter’s deals, you want this set to All so that any older deals with adjustments in the current pay period are still included in the export. Your main date filter in use will be the Payout Date filter.

Multi-currency notes

If your workspace uses multi-currency, payout data exports in each member’s local currency.

Choosing the export format

You can view and export deals per payout, per deal, or per component. In each view, you can adjust columns to add any additional fields you need or remove anything you do not need.

The CSV by Payout (by Member) export will show one row per member, including member email, member name, employee ID (if uploaded), and the total amount paid during the time period exported.

The CSV by Deal/Components export gives you all of the deals and the components they relate to, along with the total amount paid.

The difference matters when a deal is paid across multiple dates. For example, if a deal is paid 50% on one date and 50% on a second date, the export by member will roll both payouts into one row. The export by payout will show each payout record separately, so any adjustments, additional payouts, or clawbacks tied to the deal are visible.

Final tip

Anytime you export data from QuotaPath, double-check that your filters are set correctly. If your export looks like it is missing data, the filters are usually the place to look first.
