How to View and Forecast Your Earnings
This article walks through how reps and managers can view and forecast their earnings in QuotaPath.
Viewing Earnings on the Earnings Page
Head to the Earnings page on the left-hand side. Use the date filter at the top left to filter for the date range of records you want to view.
Use the component filter to narrow down to specific components within your plan. At the top of the page, you will see a summary of all your earnings broken out by component. The sum of those earnings totals up to the amount on the right-hand side.
Below the summary is a bar chart where you can view your earnings over time. You can change the period using the dropdown filter, and hovering over each bar shows a breakdown of earnings by component.
Reviewing the Records Breakdown
Below the chart is a breakdown of total earnings, and further down you will find a breakdown of earnings per record. Records are grouped into three stages:
Closed Won – earnings that have already been earned.
Pipeline – earnings that have not yet been earned but could be.
Closed Lost – earnings that will not be earned.
For each Closed Won record, you can see the record name, date, deal amount, and what was earned. Click into a specific record to see all of the details and a breakdown of how the deal earned. For example, a single deal might earn at the 10% rate on one component, while another deal might earn across multiple components or split across tiers.
Forecasting Earnings on Pipeline Records
QuotaPath lets you forecast what your earnings would be on pipeline deals if they were to close. There are two ways to do this:
Click Forecast Pipeline, which forecasts every pipeline record at once.
Select specific records to forecast — pick the deals you want to include, then click Forecast Pipeline to see what your earnings would be on those records if they closed.
Just like with Closed Won records, you can expand any forecast record to see the breakdown of earnings by component and tier. This is useful for predicting your earnings, understanding what is needed to cross into higher payout tiers, and seeing how unlocking a bonus or other incentives might impact existing records.
