Deleting a Component

How to delete Components from a Plan in QuotaPath

Disclaimer: Before deleting a component, please note IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED to delete a component in which the plan assignees have active or historical earnings and payouts. If this component is no longer in use and you don't want it to keep generating earnings on its current plan, you can set an end date on that specific component by changing the component to Temporary. See this article on how to do that.

Deleting a component deletes all of the historical earnings, attainment and unscheduled payout data. All payouts that were scheduled and paid via that component that you deleted will show as overpaid and prompt you to claw back that money. If you think you need to delete a component but aren't 100% sure that you will not lose valuable data, please consult your Account Manager first.

QuotaPath cannot fully recover deleted components and mappings for you. We may be able to recover the details of what you deleted, but we cannot fully restore the component and mappings to your plan.

To delete a component in QuotaPath, navigate to the 'Plans' page in the left-hand navigation.

Click the Plan name to open the plan details and view the plan structure. Go to the component you'd like to delete and select the three-dot menu to the right of the component. In the menu, select 'Delete'.

If you are deleting a quota component, you will also have the option to delete the quota component and all associated components.
