In this article, we'll walk you through the steps to connect your Copper account to QuotaPath. Please refer back to these steps and tips as needed.
Before connecting, this is the information you will need to ensure you can properly connect your Copper source:
API key
In your Copper account, go to Settings → Integrations → API keys. Make sure you copy the key and keep it readily available
If you are unable to view your API key within your Copper account, please reach out to your organization’s Copper admin and request the key from them
User email
This can be your email or anyone on your team that has an email associated with your organizations Copper account
Now that you have all the information needed, you are ready to follow the steps below:
Navigate to the Integrations page (bottom left, in the navigation menu).
Find the Copper integration card on the Available Connections tab and click ‘Connect’.
You will be prompted a source form to complete your authentication. Here is where you will need all the information from the first section above.
Now that you are successfully authenticated, click ‘Next’ within the modal to move onto the next stage of completing your integration.
Here you will select your sync schedule and the objects/streams you would like to sync. Only select the objects that directly contain the data needed for deal creation or payout eligibility. The less data ingested, the better. You will need to select both opportunities AND users as objects to sync in order for QuotaPath to match the deal record to the user record.
Once you select ‘Sync Now’ your data will start flowing into QuotaPath
This could take a few minutes so feel free to close the modal. We will send you an email once your integration is ready to use.
Once your Copper integration is synced and complete, you will see a connection card on the integrations page showing your most recent sync history and status.
At any point you can click “Manage” or “Sync and Refresh”:
“Manage” will allow you to update your sync schedule, objects, or any of the streams/objects you have connected. Or, you can see your sync history and full source data by object. Lastly, you can create Calculated Fields on each ingested object, to enable custom, dynamic field logic using your Copper data.
“Sync and Refresh” will allow you to kick off a manual sync, ahead of your next scheduled sync time.
Once Copper is connected, navigate to your Plans to map data to a plan component in QuotaPath.
If you are having any troubles, please feel free to reach out to our support team, [email protected], or start a chat from the icon on the lower right hand corner of your page.
