Configuring your QuotaPath workspace Settings

A full overview of the Settings page in QuotaPath

Settings (bottom left of your workspace) is where you manage your personal account and configure how your company uses QuotaPath. As an Admin, you can also access workspace-wide controls, such as payroll preferences, currency settings, and sign-in requirements.

Your workspace is your company’s shared QuotaPath environment, containing its members, compensation plans, deals, and commission data.

Finding Settings

Open Settings in your QuotaPath workspace (bottom left corner), then select the tab you want to manage.

Tab

What you can manage

Account

Your personal information, password, two-step verification, and email subscriptions.

Preferences

Workspace preferences for visibility, compensation workflows, payroll, currency, and sign-in.

Notifications & Emails

Integration error email settings and recipients.

API Tokens / MCP & API Tokens

API credentials and available MCP connection information.

Billing

Subscription information and billing assistance.

The options available depend on your permissions, subscription, and connected integrations. Currency management and approval workflows open from Preferences rather than appearing as separate main tabs.

Account tab

The Account tab contains settings for your own user account.

Personal information and password

Use User Settings to review and update the personal information available for your account.

You can also manage your password here. If you signed up using a sign-in provider and do not have a QuotaPath password, you may see “Click here to create a password.” The options shown can depend on how you signed in.

Two-Step Verification

Two-Step Verification adds an extra security check when signing in. In addition to your password, QuotaPath uses a verification code sent to your phone by text message.

Use this section to set up two-step verification or update its phone number. You need a QuotaPath password before you can configure this setting.

Email subscriptions

Under Emails, the Email Subscriptions switch controls period summary emails for your own account.

A period summary email provides a summary of your commission earnings for a reporting period. Changing your subscription does not unsubscribe everyone in your workspace. Contact QuotaPath Support if you need period summary emails disabled workspace-wide.

Keyboard Hotkeys

The Keyboard Hotkeys section provides information about keyboard shortcuts for navigating and working in QuotaPath.

Deactivate Account

The Deactivate Account section directs you to Support for assistance. Best practice would be to first contact your Account Manager if you need help deactivating your account.

Preferences tab

The Preferences tab includes company settings that affect your workspace. Unlike personal account settings, changes here can affect other users.

Member visibility and compensation preferences

The Company section includes the following controls:

Setting

What it does

Members-page visibility

Controls whether workspace members can view all members on the Members page.

Plan verification

When available, enables the workflow for members to acknowledge and sign their assigned compensation plans.

Deal-create permissions

Controls who can manually create deals in your workspace.

Effective rate

Controls the visibility of effective commission rate information.

Payout eligibility

Controls the workspace’s use of payout eligibility, which determines when earnings qualify to be paid.

Plan verification and earnings approval are different workflows: verification concerns acknowledgment of a compensation plan, while approval concerns reviewing earnings before payment. Payout eligibility is also separate from the amount earned—it concerns when those earnings qualify for payout.

Fiscal year and time zone

Use the fiscal-year settings to configure your company’s fiscal calendar.

The time-zone setting establishes the workspace’s time zone. Review these settings carefully before changing them, particularly if your company is already using QuotaPath for commission reporting.

Currency

The currency section lets you manage your workspace’s default currency. The selected workspace currency should match your company currency, or the default currency of your integrated data source(s).

If you pay reps in more than one currency, select Manage Currencies to:

  • Add or remove supported display currencies.

  • View and update exchange rates.

  • Review saved exchange-rate periods.

A display currency is the currency used to show earnings in supported views. It does not automatically convert every number in QuotaPath: deal values, quotas, and attainment values are not converted by the earnings display-currency setting.

Payroll

The Payroll section includes:

  • Payroll enablement: Show or hide payroll functionality, including the Payroll page and payroll information on Deal Details.

  • Payroll cadence: Select the payroll schedule that applies to your company. Available choices include Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Monthly, Bi-Monthly, and Quarterly.

Rippling

If Rippling is connected on the Integrations page, additional payroll settings appear:

Setting

What it does

Pay type

Selects the Rippling earning type used when sending commission amounts.

Payroll admins

Identifies which workspace administrators can send payroll to Rippling. If a workspace admin is expecting to see the "Send to Rippling" button on the payroll page and does not, verify that they are indeed a payroll admin here.

Payroll notifications

Controls payroll notification emails.

If no payroll admins are selected, the workspace owner is used as the default payroll administrator.

Approval workflows

Select Manage Approval Workflow to configure how earnings are reviewed and approved.

An approval workflow defines the review process earnings must follow before they are ready for payment. Multi-step approval workflows are only available to Premium customers.

Single sign-on

Single sign-on, or SSO, lets users sign in through your company’s identity provider rather than using a separate QuotaPath password.

Depending on your workspace configuration, the Company section includes:

  • Okta settings for your workspace’s Okta connection.

  • Microsoft organization settings for Microsoft sign-in.

  • SSO-provider restrictions that limit which sign-in providers are available.

Coordinate changes with your IT team to avoid interrupting users’ access.

Notifications & Emails tab

Use Notifications & Emails to manage Integration Error Emails.

An integration is a connection between QuotaPath and another system, such as your CRM. Integration error emails notify selected administrators when QuotaPath detects a problem with that connection or its data sync.

You can:

  • Turn integration error emails on or off for the workspace.

  • Select which administrators receive them.

This is separate from your personal Email Subscriptions setting and the payroll notification controls in Preferences. These settings are not a single switch for every automated email QuotaPath sends.

API Tokens / MCP & API Tokens tab

This tab contains options for connecting other tools to QuotaPath.

API tokens

An API allows software systems to communicate. An API token is a credential an external tool uses to authenticate with QuotaPath.

Use this section to generate and view QuotaPath API tokens. Treat tokens as sensitive credentials: share them only with authorized people and applications. For more info on connecting a data source via API, see here.

MCP

Model Context Protocol, or MCP, allows compatible AI tools to connect to QuotaPath.

For administrators, the MCP section shows whether MCP is enabled for the workspace. Its status indicator is informational—you cannot use it to independently enable or disable MCP. Contact your QuotaPath account team if you need help with availability.

Billing tab

The Billing tab provides subscription information for your workspace.

Workspaces display their subscription tier and a Contact Us option.

For technical invoice and billing-related matters (like a change of address, new payment method, contact info or company name), please email [email protected].

For help with invoice explanation, account details, renewals, or subscription changes, please email your QuotaPath Account Manager. If you do not have an Account Manager or do not know who they are, reach out to us through the live Support chat in the top or bottom right of your workspace.

Don’t see a setting?

A setting may be unavailable because of your permissions, subscription, or integration configuration. For example, Rippling preferences appear only when Rippling is connected, and currency management requires Multi-Currency access.

If you cannot find an option you expect to see, contact QuotaPath Support for help confirming its availability.
